Every order placed on woolypatisserie.com is paid online, through a licensed payment service provider. This page explains how that works, and what Wooly does — and does not — see of your card details.
Payment is handled by Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, based in Dublin and licensed as an electronic money institution in the European Union. Stripe holds PCI-DSS Level 1 certification, the highest level of the payment card industry security standard.
Accepted payment methods
- Bancontact
- Visa and Mastercard
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
The amount is charged when the order is confirmed. No surcharge is applied to online payments.
Strong customer authentication (3-D Secure)
Under the European Payment Services Directive (PSD2), card payments are subject to strong customer authentication: your bank asks you to confirm the transaction, usually through its mobile app or with a one-time code. That step takes place at your bank, never on our site.
What Wooly never sees
Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered in a secure field provided by Stripe and sent directly to Stripe. They never pass through our servers and are never stored by Wooly. We keep only the outcome of the transaction, the last four digits of the card and its type — enough to trace a payment if you raise a claim.
The connection to the site
The entire site is served over HTTPS, with a valid TLS certificate and the HTTP Strict Transport Security header: your browser refuses any unencrypted connection to woolypatisserie.com. The padlock in the address bar confirms it.
