Suckling pig rissóis
The suckling-pig rissol (rissol de leitão) is a Portuguese half-moon turnover, breaded and fried, filled with suckling pig. At Wooly Pâtisserie it costs €3.90 each, served hot or warm, as an aperitif or starter, and can be ordered online or in our 4 shops, with delivery to 5 countries.
Leitão, roast suckling pig, is the speciality of the Bairrada region. Often served at festive gatherings and family celebrations, leitão has long been a symbol of sharing and conviviality. Transformed into a rissol, this culinary treasure becomes a portable, practical delight, perfect for on-the-go meals, appetizers, or festive starters.
Storage: keep 3 to 4 days in the fridge; reheat for 5 to 7 minutes in the oven or air fryer at 180 °C.
