At Wooly: Portuguese tradition, freshly prepared for you

At Wooly, we follow this tradition to the letter: house-made puff pastry worked with butter, custard cream from fresh egg yolks and whole milk, baked at high temperature to achieve that slightly charred surface that is the hallmark of a true pastel de nata. Batches come out of the oven several times a day in our shops.

We offer our pastel de nata in seven versions: vanilla, lemon, salted butter caramel, chestnut, chocolate-praline, strawberry and speculoos.

How to Eat a Pastel de Nata Like They Do in Portugal

In Portugal, the pastel de nata is eaten warm, never cold, that is when the puff pastry reveals its full crunch and the custard keeps its melt-in-the-mouth texture. The traditional way: a pinch of ground cinnamon sprinkled on top, sometimes accompanied by a dusting of icing sugar, paired with a strong Portuguese-style espresso.
